It's Not Annie

  I try and grab one of his hands, trying to keep it from clawing at his hair. I try and tell him it's alright. I try and tell him it's not her, try to sooth him. I try and do what he told me, I try and make him realize it. I want him to know it's not his Annie, not my Prim. I try and tell him it's Snow, I try and tell him it's just Jabberjays. He tries to listen, but her mimicked screams fill his ears.  I try to wipe the mud off his face, keep his hands from digging into his hair. I try and keep him from going mad. I try and look him in the eye, tell him it's not real, tell him they've done nothing to her. I try and believe myself. I tell him to just try, try and push reality farther forward and the screams back. He tries to listen, but can't.
